Hi, my name’s Imani Dean. I’m in a teen film documentary program called Reel Works (www.reelworks.org). Reel Works is a program that sponsors youths in the documentary field, and has had pieces featured in both the Sundance and Tribeca film festivals, as well as been broadcast on PBS, HBO and Oprah.
I’m contacting you because I’m doing a short documentary on Harry Potter, as well as the Harry Potter fan community, Harry Potters effect on literacy in people (particularly children and teenagers) and the phenomenon that it is in general. The reason I am contacting you is I am going to be at the April 26th screening of We are Wizards and I was wondering if you’d be kind enough to take some time out of your busy schedule to talk to me about your film.
